They have already released 3 albums in the late 90's and now they are back and ready to release their next record after 14 years. This death metal band from Sweden does not only play pure death metal Swedish style. Of course there are enough elements and influences of Entombed and Dismember involved, but they also combine it with the more American 90's death metal style.

It all sounds very aggressive and the songs are most of the times very fast, but I like the band most when they put down the tempo a bit, like in the song "Ready to bleed", the riffs sound rather thrashy then. Desultory also uses a lot of melody in their songs and in "Uneven Numbers" the band Arch Enemy isn't far away and in "Leeching Life" I have to think about Hypocrisy too. Enough variety and melody not to get bored.

Every death metal fan will like this album I think, nothing more, nothing less. Decent album with an average rating.
