There are countless bands coming out of Poland these days, and I must say that there is tons of talent to be found in the Eastern sector of Metaldom. The talent can also be found in this band, Bloodwritten. They know how to put together a old-school metal riff, that's for sure. So what's wrong - your rating is luke warm, Thomas?

Yeah, it's luke warm. This is a black metal band gone thrash, I'm sure. The production is accordingly - i.e. thin. I need more substance! I need this to sound as if it's not Kreator anno 1984. And I also need a singer that doesn't sound like Mille anno 1984. It was cool when Mille did so in 1984, but now? No, thanks.

Take a song like Drums of War. In there, there's a riff that many would die for, I shit you not. But the song is destroyed by a mix that makes it sound untight and a singer, Bastard (again, I shit you not!), who sound more like Mille than Mille himself. It's a great pity.

More work, perhaps some coaching, even, and this band could go far, I think.
