FINALLY ! I never thought I'd see this album ready for us old (and young) lovers of the 80's rock. Black 'n Blue was a very productive band in the middle of the 80's. The self titled debut 1984 and one new album every year until 1987. Jamie St. James on vocals and the very talented guitarist Thommy Thayer (later replacement for Ace Frehley in KISS) as the most known members had a megahit with "Hold On To 18". They toured worldwide relentlessly with KISS, Aerosmith, Queensryche among other acts. How has the band aged until 2011?? Well they started to make this record in 2003, but took a break until 2008 because vocalist Jamie St. James joined Warrent in 2004. So the answer to my own question is: Good rock 'n roll is just like wine. Let it take the time to rise tasty and spice it with a light touch of vanilla. This is pure and clean american rock 'n roll. If you like Aerosmith, Warrent or Tesla you'll find this enjoyable.
All the 13 tracks on Hell Yeah is really good production. I
belive that many american rock radiostations will play several of the songs from
this party album. Good uptempo songs straight through is a good base for the (hopefully)
summer tour. | ||||||||||||||||||
