THE RED SHORE is certainly not for everyone I can tell you that. The Australian band plays technical death metal with a slightly modern touch. We get almost 1 hour of quite brutal riffs spiced with lots of twists and turns and hard hitting runs.

But it’s not all a merciless assault on all your senses. No, they slow things down here and there and that gives ‘The Avarice of Man’ the right amount of variety... and do remember we get almost 1 hour of music.

This CD is certainly not background music but needs all your attention to suck up all the details. Well... the schizophrenic riffs and the ever busy drummer can get a little monotonous in the long run. But ‘The Avarice of Man’ is quite entertaining in small doses.

Check ‘em out.
