Symphorce is the band with Brainstorm singer Andy B. Franck. Since they started the band has musically changed a little bit on every album. There was always a darkened sound in their music and on this new album 'Unrestricted' that is a thing that hasn’t changed. Compared with their earlier albums this is their most modern and heaviest sounding album to date.

You can hear their power metal roots, but in fact they’ve departed from that style more and more and now sound more like a modern metal band with some power metal influences. Songs like "Whatever Hurts", "The Waking Hour", “Visions” and several others are very modern sounding, but still the singing of Andy sees to it that it is definitely Symphorce. They have developed their style even more by introducing some bleeps and other sounds and I think that fans of the band won't bother. The rather low tuned guitars give the album a heavy over all sound. "The Last Decision" is also a track with a modern beat and sound.

A nice album to listen to and certainly worth checking out.
