Female fronted power metal that immediately draws parallels with Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian and Iced Earth. Seven Kingdoms delivers no nonsense straight forward power metal of the best kind, everything is worked out to perfection and all ten songs - and an intro - ooze of professionalism and dedication. The album is firmly packed with killer riffs, brilliant guitar harmonies and twin leads, and it delivers on all frontiers; strong song writing, first class deliverance and a well-balanced production.

"Seven Kingdoms" has a dark and aggressive side that results in a couple of gloomier tracks that fit in very well with the other songs. On the other hand we have the fine and delicate ballad "A Murder Never Dead", which has a strong reminiscence with Evanescence, mostly due to vocalist Sabrina Valentine's voice. And they don't shy away from a solid injection of true metal either with "Thunder of the Hammer", a song that has strong links to HammerFall. I will stop the namedropping now, but all it shows is the variation in styles and the diversity of the songs.

Power metal fans what more do you need...?
