Perhaps you know Marco Ferreira's first solo album 'Fallen Heroes' from 2002 or his second one 'Working Overtime' (2009). He also played in the French progressive metal band Ventura and he formed the band Goodbye Thrill and released an album under the same name in 2007 and second album 'Keepsake' in early 2010.
That he is a very busy man is an understatement. With 'Better Run!!!' he releases his third solo album. Together with Finish guitarist Patrick Sebastian he wrote several songs and this is the final result. Gus Monsanto (bass) and Alex Ferreira (drums) complete the line-up. Melodic up-tempo rock with a little metallic edge is what they serve. Compare it with early Europe, Winger or Dokken and you should have an idea.
The songs are rather easy to sing-a long to and the refrains are catchy. Of course there are some slow ballads kind of songs too, "Knocking on My Door" is such a song. "Rescue Me" is a track with modern parts and drum rhythms, "Defense Trust the Enemy" is the same kind of style. With "History We Make" they end the album in a slow and melodic way.
Fans of Melodic Rock and AOR will discover things they'll like on this album, but I doubt if they will conquer the world with it.
