Some death metal bands is nothing more than brutal metal with tons of impure riffs and fast runs that tends to get a little monotonous in the long run. However this is not the case with DEUS INVERSUS and this album called ‘Mastery over the World’. No, this is what I call good death metal. Their music is both fast and brutal at times but also slower and very heavy and massive and they never seem to lose any control over the music.

The interplay of swirling guitar runs and the drum-fills is head and shoulders above most competition out there in my very humble opinion. You only need a few listens before you can tell the numbers apart... and that’s the main reason why I like to play this release over and over again.

Well... lots of bands are going through my mind while listening but it’s the tracks where you find music not unlike AEON and MORBID ANGEL that I like best. There are on the other hand not a single filler to be found and I’m sure that most death metal fans will suck this one up and having very few complaints about it.

Good buy :)
