With a name like Caliber 666 you should expect some Black Metal or something, but these Swedes just play Old School Swedish Death metal. As guests they recruited Matti Karki (Dismember) and L.G. Petrov (Entombed). Matti participates on the song "Let the Blood Flow" and Mr. Petrov appears on "The Worthless".

I don't have to say how this band sounds of course. Indeed, like Entombed, Dismember and Unleashed in their early days. The riffs are low and snoring, while the solo's have the typical high sound. The grunt of Joakim Mikiver is rather understandable, but very brutal. Nothing new here, but it sounds great.

Nice debut, old school Swedish death fans will certainly like this album. Far from original, but nicely done.
