Allegaeon
Fragments of Form and Function
Rating
Style: Death Metal
Release date: July 19th 2010

The American band Allegaeon signed a deal with the mighty Metal Blade Records and this company has most of the time a good nose for good music. It isn't any different with this debut album; there are mighty riffs in a kind of Carcass style and the music has the drive of Arch Enemy.

All the tracks are very brutal and have a lot of spectacular moments. Besides that brutality they have a lot of variety and the guitar parts bring in the necessary melody. The songs listen away easily and that is a compliment because this combination of Necrophagist kind of parts with Death and God Forbid can easily turn out in a brutal mess.

Everyone, who is a sucker for brutal metal should purchase this one! Good debut!
