Other than 80's Thrash, I have not really been a fan of today's Thrash Metal bands. I've given up the fact that we may never bring back the old American Thrash Metal again. Up until - I decided to take heed of the band; Razor Fist, from Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I must say, they have proven me wrong. Now I can say, Thrash is definitely not dead in the US.
Razor Fist knows how to pull your attention. Every song has a very catchy and speedy intros that will progress as you go on into discovering more, in deeper details. These guys dive down to the roots, bringing back the old to a brand new and refreshing sound. The high pitched vocals, groovey/funky guitars and fairly fast adjusted drums are well presented enough for my taste.
'Metal Minds' has elements of IRON MAIDEN's Killers but more modern. So if you enjoyed that album, then most likely you would have the knack for this as well. Of course the vocals are clearly well-defined between the two. No one can sing like Di'Anno, that's just plain and obvious.
If you are like me and all these years have suffered from Thrash Metal Deficiency, I strongly recommend that you get this album. Don't go another day without being pissed off and using your 'Razor Fist' to beat your neighbors.
