Tight and powerful thrash metal is always a joy to listen to.
In that sense, London outfit Past the Fall’s three-track promo is a joy for the ears. With Prong-like precision and audacity, the tracks on the promo impress hugely and make promises of more to come.
The set-back in terms of quality is, you could say, a classic challenge: Bassist Will Wright's vocal performance leaves much to be desired. His voice is flat beyond the point where reverb and harmonizer can save things.
Sad, really, because this is one hell of a band. Just listen to the instrumental Through Broken Skies! Amazing stuff, this!
So if I could have any say here, Past the Fall would go out and start recruiting a fourth member with a real voice tomorrow and then move on to conquer the world!
