Onslaught have had a special place in my heart, after In Search Of Sanity of ’89 became one of the “soundtracks” to an intense period in my life.

On this live recording cut at Leeds’ Damnation Festival in 2008, they’re blazing away in a furious speed, but still with everything under control, including the crowd it seems.

The music has thick, heavy Thrash-sound, that normally can get a bit difficult to get from a live recording, but this really rocks.

Too bad we have to settle for 41 minutes, but I guess that was their time at the show – I would have liked a few more tracks.

All in all a recording that brings something new to the picture of Onslaught, but not to the scene in general – nothing new and shocking going on here, but a solid live recording with good sound of tried material. If you’re an Onslaught-fan this is a must, if you’re “just” a normal thrash-fan give it a listen, it’s one of the better live albums I’ve heard lately.
