Necrophobic
Death to All
Rating
Style: Death Metal
Release date: May 29th 2009

Named after a Slayer song Necrophobic started in 1989. Now 20 years later they are releasing their fifth full-length album. Their last one 'Hrimthursum' saw the light 3 years ago. That record was not a bad one at that time and Necrophobic has not changed the style drastictly, and why should they?

The death metal with aggressive growling and grunting and with lyrics that would make the pope conclude that condoms could have a purpose (perhaps then the Necrophobic members would not have been born!) The songs have a high tempo and are heavy as an elephants ass. Still the music sounds a bit like a mix between Dissection and At the Gates, but it leans a bit more against black-metal.

People who already adored the band can buy this one blindfolded, others who hate the genre can take their hands of. For those that are into death metal with non-religious lyrics and don't know the band yet, this might be a good moment to get to know them.
