’Am Rande der Welt’ is the title of the second release by the German medieval rock/metal band NACHTGESCHREI... and a solid one in my book.

My promo-CD contains 11 tracks of mostly laid back medieval rock music that needs a couple of spins to grow. But it will if you give it the time to blossom... because NACHTGESCHREI knows how to string together a bundle of catchy melodies almost without thinking that wins with every spin.

The 7 musicians entertain us with guitars, flutes, accordions, bagpipes and everything that a medieval rock/metal band need to knock your off your feet. But do have in mind that ’Am Rande der Welt’ needs a couple of spins to grow... and that’s the only problem I have with this release. This is probably for medieval/folk rock fans only, mostly because of the lack of metal and I’m not quite sure if the average rock/metal fan will give this album the time it needs to blossom.

But well... time will show, right? I certainly dig this laid back medieval rock release and I’m sure that most genre fans will. This is for people who know what they like and like what they know.

Check it out.
