Well... I must admit that I’m really standing right between heaven and hell here when it comes to the brand new album from the UK Thrashcore band MALEFICE.

‘Dawn of Reprisal’ is packed with both heavy and fast riffs that at times remind me of bands such as: Pantera, Lamp of God and Chimaira. Fans of the mentioned bands will probably wet themselves in excitement when they listen to this CD and I must admit that most of the tracks there are to be found really makes me rock. However I prefer ‘Dawn of Reprisal’ in small doses, because it lacks variety in my humble opinion and because of that it never really ignites.

My promo-CD contains 10 tracks and the best of the bunch is “As I Bleed”. This track rules, boys and girls. Superb riffs and excellent drumming spiced with a very memorable guitar solo shows that this band does have the skills to create fucking awesome metal. The rest of the 9 tracks I need in small doses as written above.

The production is heavy and powerful and you should at least check this band and album out now.
