Into the Valley of the Moonking
Rating
Style: Melodic Hard Rock
Release date: June 15th 2009

I love everything about Magnum. In my little world they stand as the storytellers on melodic hard rock scene, the undisputed champions, and everything involving Bob Catley and Tony Clarkin is a mandatory purchase for me.

And they do not let me down this time in any way, and have created another first-class album, another manifestation of their powers and strengths and something that shines on so many levels; melodic, rocking, diverse and catchy rock songs, just like we like and love from them.

The sound is easily recognizable, even though they have turned to more classic and old-school guitar sounds on some occasions, which suits those songs perfectly. Bob Catley shows his diversity and strengths and let his voice do the talking as does the others on the album.

This album is all the way up there with the premier albums from Magnum, yes it is that good! And I am sure when I look back at the end of the year that this one will be one of the outstanding albums of 2009.

Brilliant
