The Sleep of Morbid Dreams
Rating
Style: Death Metal
Release date: April 17th 2009

There’s no hanky-panky on this album from New Jersey death metallers Funebrarum. No fucking around with orchestral keyboard sounds, no clean vocal adventures, no female vocalists, no nothing – just plain death metal the down-tuned and grim way.

‘The Sleep of Morbid Dreams’ scores fairly low on the originality scale, but, hell, it’s efficient, dark and solid as the night. Vocalist Daryl sounds more than anything like former Benediction front man Dave Ingram. I can’t help loving it.

For fans of the old skool.
