These guys have been around since 2006, in 2007 they released an EP called "07-07-07" so "Against a Darkened Sky" is the first full-length from these bible bashers. Yeah, all the lyrics is about Christian themes just look at some of these song titles "In God's Shadow", "Armor of God" or "Ascend Unto Heaven" so let's quickly skip to the music.
Faith Factor delivers a great mix of heavy metal and power metal that takes one back to the late Eighties. So if you are into old school stuff like Crimson Glory, Lizzy Borden, Sacred Warrior or Judas Priest then you have to check out songs like the melodic "In Remembrance", the epic "Ascend Unto Heaven" or the twin guitar attack on "Divine Temptations" and the Cage like "Keep it True".
It is all garnished with the excellent high pitched vocals of former Deadly Blessing singer Norm "Ski" Kiersznowski.
Overall this is a very enjoyable slab of classic metal, my only complaint is the production, I know that the music sounds like it was made two decades ago, but next time please update the production.
