Well... if you’re a sucker for Hard Rock and Melodic Metal then take notice of this Finnish band called Leverage. They stand for catchy hooks and catchy and memorable choruses that's for sure!
Leverage released their debut album entitled “Tides” in 2006 and now they have just released the successor “Blind Fire”.
Their music reminds me of another excellent Melodic Metal band, namely Altaria and Leverage is just as good. The promo CD I’m holding in my hands contains 10 songs. 10 first class Melodic Metal Rockers that very well could catapult them into the premier league of Melodic Metal right away. (If there’s any justice in the world, of course). The songs are simply fantastic and grab you by the throat and make sure you stay focused every second. Just take a listen to tracks like;Shadow in the Rain”, “King of the Night”, “Hellhorn” or “Mr. Universe” and you know what I mean.
The musicianship is flawless with very impressive guitar work... but they all know their way around their instruments... so this is Melodic Metal of a very high level.
But well... I won’t bore you to death with a long and mind numbing review... just order this album right away and discover one hell of a splendid Melodic Metal band called Leverage.
