The title 'Greatest Hit' with the subtitle: '... and 21 Other Pretty Cool Songs) says it all - this is simply a compilation with their sole hit "Pull Me Under" and 21 not so great hits (sales wise).

Disc 1 - The Dark Side has the more metallic songs and shows the metal roots of the band.
Disc 2 - The Light Side has the melodic aspect of the band and shows their ability to write catchy and dynamic songs.

So why even bother buying an album with songs you probably already have, some in more than one version? Well this compilation does offer something for the fans, 3 of the classics have been remixed - "Pull Me Under", "Take the Time" and "Another Day", there are 5 Edited editions and a one song is in a alternate album mix. But the rest is 'normal' album versions.

I have not given this album a rating because this is strictly for fans only, those - like my self - who simply have to have everything this brilliant band releases... If you are like me, chances are that you've already bought this album. This might be a good place to start if you want to know this band, but mind you the epic side of the band is missing completely.
