Death’s dominion” is the first full length album from Dutch Death Metal band CERMONY OF OPPOSITES formed in 2005... I think.

Well... everyone who knows me, knows that I’m a sucker for Death Metal so I was eager to check this album out. But I can only say that I’m left disappointed. First of all... the production isn’t that great. It’s muddy and sounds more like a Demo to me than a “real CD”. And then there’s the vocal or should we call it grunts... from Marcel Oerlemans... well they are quite annoying in my book. His weak grunts are way too high in the mix, not a good thing even if the vocals are good.

Then we have the music... and there are actually a few splendid guitar runs to be found, especially in track 2 “Death’s Dominion” and track 7 “Wall of Darkness” but that’s about it.

Even the guitar solos are weak in my humble opinion so it’s hard for me to recommend this album to anyone. Save your money for something better and believe me it's out there.
