I have nothing but the utmost respect for Zak Stevens and his contribution to the metal scene, and he proves once more that he has one of the best and strongest voices in power metal. But I am slowly beginning to lose my patience with his Circle II Circle project, because an outstanding vocal performance simply isn't enough to make this a great album. It's fine, but not great!

Zak Stevens delivers one of his best performances ever, but the music is for most parts not strong enough to support his great performance. He clearly outshines the music on many occasions and his performance alone makes this an interesting album worth noticing, but I do wish that the music had the same high standard all the way.

And they do rock hard and there are some good songs among the lot, and the first single "Every Last Things" is the best song they have ever written, so it's not all bleak... And I must admit that the album has grown on me (not literally) after many, many spins in my disc player and I do like it more and more...
