The legendary Joe Lynn Turner who has recorded with several bands as a session musician is, however, most remembered for his days in Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow and in Deep Purple.

He released his first solo album in ’87 (“Rescue You”) and since then he’s delivered strong albums up through the years. He’s been regarded as a stronghold in Melodic Rock since his primary albums with Rainbow and he’s managed to maintain his status to this day.

On his latest Frontiers release he delivers as always; The soulful lungs of his shine through, the music is blues-based but highly melodic and the production couldn’t have been any better!

It’s hard to judge this kind of album though, cos’ it sounds like most other releases by this man. If you like that vibe, however, there’s no need to hesitate.

World class stuff!
