Hiding behind the TRW
monicker is a trio consisting of Michael Thompson (guitars),
John Robinson (drums) and Mark Williamson (vocals and
bass), each of them have an impressive list of collaborations and
credits to their names. They have earned most of their credentials
by working with Pop superstar such as Michael Jackson, Celine Dion,
Madonna and Christina Aguilera among many (never thought I should
write these names in a review!), and all of them have release
solo-albums in the past.
They got together to record an
album that is shaped in mould of classic rock 'n' roll acts like Led
Zeppelin, Bad Company, Journey and Toto. The result is ten melodic
rock songs with catchy hook lines and soaring vocals done by three
great musicians.
Things do get a bit too cheesy and
soft for my personal likings at times, but they surely displays
great musicianship, a good flair for writing good rock songs and
this album should appeal to fans of the above mention bands.
Recommended tracks; "Rivers
of Paradise", "Only a Letter" & "Alimony Blues".
