Tomorrow's Eve has decided
to release a 4-track single before entering the studio to record the
follow up to last year's great album 'Mirror of Creation 2 - Genesis
II', to let the fans get an indication of which direction they'll
take with the new album.
If the two new songs "The Tower"
and "Remember" are representative for the album, then I think we are
in for a real treat, because both shows a mature band making a
statement for themselves. Well produced and played progressive metal
which falls nicely inline with the material from last years great
album.
They have re-recorded two songs
from their back catalogue; "Success" from their debut album 'The
Unexpected World" (2000) and "Not from this World" from their latest
album 'Mirror of Creation 2 - Genesis II' (2006). Martin LeMar is
really breathing fresh air into that old song and does make a better
impression than the original, which was sung by Peter Webel. "Not
from this World" is still a very good ballad, and the contrast
between vocalists Martin LeMar and
Jennie Kloos is still what makes this
song interesting and cool.
22 minutes of good,
solid progressive metal and hopefully a good indication of what is
still to come...
