Founder and mastermind behind Sun Caged Marcel Coenen have really shaken the line-up up for this, the sophomore release from Sun Caged. He is the only returning member from the self-titled debut album from 2003, but not much has changed music wise in the camp.

'Artemisia' is progressive metal packed with odd time signatures, complex chords and brilliant guitar playing from Marcel Coenen. His playing on the album alone makes this album interesting and enjoyable; his unique playing style really comes to life on this album and should turn a few heads...

I wish I could go on praising this album, but sadly I can't because I feel let down by the very mediocre vocal deliverance from Paul Adrian Villarreal, who in my opinion lacks power and range to push this album into the champions league. The production and the songs have the quality to take this album to higher places, but all parts of the puzzle are equally important and a significant piece is sadly enough missing here.

This is still a good and interesting album with a lot to offer progressive metal fans, and do give this album a chance - maybe you like this kind of vocalists more than me...
