Spider Rockets
Ever After

Style: Almost "Punky" Rock/Metal
Release date: July 17th 2007

"Ever After” is the title of Spider Rockets brand new album but to me a more than disappointing experience. Their “Punky” Alternative Rock/Metal do not much for me, I’m afraid. Even after numerous listens I find it quite boring. However, there are a few riffs that has caught my attention but their songs are rather forgettable to me. They go in one ear and out the other.

Singer Helena’s voice is also getting on my nerves... her vocals is both melancholic and “Punky” at the same time but I’m not impressed. But listen carefully... I like her vocals in “What I want”... so I’m not entirely negative here, right?

We even get a cover of a Beatles song, namely “Helter Skelter”... DAMN! I must be the only person on this brutal planet that hate everything about The Beatles.

The production is very good... but hey... we are not living in 1920, right? The cover artwork is however quite boring... but it's the music that counts anyway. But in a few days I will forget everything about Spider Rockets, but do check this album out if you’re a genre-fan. Maybe you like it better than me? I'm sure you do!
