This is solid craftsmanship! D.C.
Cooper and his German compatriots in Silent Force deliver an
honest melodic power metal album, that will go down easy with fans
of their previous 3 albums: 'Worlds Apart (2004) 'Infatuator' (2001)
and 'Empire of the Future' (2000), because they stay faithful to the
style and focus point is still D.C. Cooper's unique voice.
I know he is not everybody's cup of
tea, but I have always thought he was a good vocalist and have been
following him ever since he made his first small steps in the metal
community with Royal Hunt. Granted his voice is rather special, but
I do like it and once more he proves at least to me that his style
is a good fit for melodic power metal.
'Walk the Earth' is by no means
groundbreaking nor will it blow the socks off your Mr. "normal power
metal" fan. This is a solid metal album nothing more, nothing less -
well written, well played and well produced.
Fans of melodic power metal won't
go wrong with this one, and fans of Silent Force and D.C.
Cooper has it at #1 on their shopping list already and they do
deliver the goods, and I am sure it'll please many a metal fan.
