While the first O.S.I. album had plenty of heavy guitar riffs, their second album had a lot more to do with Kevin Moore's other band Chroma Key. They - Kevin Moore (vocals, keyboards & programming) and Jim Matheos (guitars & keyboards) - are a long, long way from being "metal-compatible", so I am not sure how many of our readers do care, and I must admit that their music is absolutely not for everyone!

'Re: Free' is a 3 song EP with remixed versions of 3 songs off the second O.S.I. album 'Free':
"Go" has been remixed by Console - hiding behind this synonym is German sound guru Martin Gretschman, who count bands like A-ha and Depeche Mode among his clients.
Kevin Moore has remixed "Kicking" and "Home was Good" - giving the first a dancebeat and the second one a more simple structure - the original had some rather odd time signatures. To be honest I do prefer these versions to the originals, but neither version does much for me at all...
As a small bonus the EP include the video for "Free", directed by Andreas Nilsson, a nice video that captures the moodes in the song pretty good.

Good value for your money - 25 minutes of music, and if you have a soft spot for electronica or just have to own everything Jim or Kevin has taken part on, then this might be of some interest to you. It's actually nice background music, but again - I am not sure how many of our readers really care...???
