Schlachten & Legenden
Style: Viking Death Metal
Release date: April 27th 2007

I imagine that these guys play on 11. Always. If nothing else, then to make people forget the fact that they have little to offer in terms of originality.

The songs are in German, something I admittedly find utterly charming, but since everything here is shouted, I can’t even find pleasure in that.

What I’m trying to say is that there’s nothing wrong with this release from Obscurity, but there’s nothing really good about it either.

The indefinable ‘it’ that makes an album great is simply not there, although they come close e.g. with the track Götterdämmerung that sports an ace mid-section groove.

Next, please.
