Style: Death Thrash

Now, this is the dog’s bollocks! Sweeping, brutal death thrash with a lot of idea and nerve plus a voice from hell in the foreground – what more can you ask for?

The foundation of this rock solid release is razor sharp death metal in the vein of Illdisposed or Bolt-thrower, but the icing is guitar work that reeks of classic thrash metal and soli that blend in smoothly. Daniel Jakobi’s voice is brutal as f*ck, not unlike one of my favourite grunters, Bo Summer from Illdisposed and the production and mix is just perfect for this brand of metal.

What makes ‘Reconquering the Pit’ particularly interesting in my view is the fact is that it is not only brutal, but also groovy as if there was no tomorrow and even catchy in places (the refrain of All of this Pain refuses to leave my head right now!).

Hell, YEAH!  \m/
