What’s this? A new AOR-act from Norway… Or so the description says!

Sure they’ve got the melody lines primed and geared in the vein of many a modern AOR band but still they incorporate double bass drums, metallic guitars and twin harmony lines, which sounds more like Metal to me.

KELDIAN is comparable to WIG WAM in the way their production sounds but stylistically they’re somewhere in between DREAMTIDE, NIGHTWISH and A-HA!!-)

A pretty funny way of joining styles, but the ever present 80s pop clichés really make me think of A-HA!

On the other hand, this album has an overly symphonic feel to it which makes it sound rather contemporary, not far away from what Finnish bands have been up to for a long time, hence the NIGHTWISH references.

There’s no doubt! This band surely hails from Scandinavia. Although they’ve created a pretty impressive mixture of Metal and symphonic movements, there’s really nothing new and earth shattering here.

We’ve seen these bands appear time and again just to be forgotten even before they get their break.

I’d really hope KELDIAN could prove me wrong but I’m rather sure they’ll consign to oblivion.
