I guess no introduction is
needed for Heaven and Hell. Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi,
Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice are Heaven and Hell - the
Black Sabbath line-up, which many consider, myself included, to be
the pinnacle of the band.
The set-list played live at
the Radio City Music Hall is a tour through music history: "Children
of the Sea", "The Sign of the Southern Cross", "The Mob Rules",
"Heaven and Hell", "Voodoo" and "Neon Knights". Each one a metal
classic, played by one of the most influential metal bands around.
Recorded in front of 6000
enthusiastic fans on March 30th 2007 in New York City's Radio City
Music Hall, the band represents themselves in top shape, Dio sings
like a young God, Iommi is as brilliant as he was more than 25 years
ago on 'Live Evil' and the rhythm section is very tight and is
playing their asses off...
This is classic and timeless
heavy metal, and a mandatory buy for all metal fans... This
brilliant retrospective is available as a double CD, a DVD and a
limited version with both. This is a monumental piece of rock
history and one of the best live releases of 2007, if not the best.
