Fifth full-length studio album from German happy Power Metallers Freedom Call and a very good one if you ask me.

Freedom Call is really a band that you either love or hate…I think. Some call their songs cheesy but I really don’t care… everyone has his own taste in music right? When it comes to “Melodic Happy Power Metal-Pop” no one are doing a better job than Freedom Call. Okay, I admit that I have to be in a very good mood when I listen to them…but this band does put a big smile on my face.

Their songs are catchy and more than memorable and the sound of  “Dimensions” is very close to the sound of their first album “Stairway to Fairyland”… but I find this new release a tad better than their debut album.

So, the music is really easily digestible and some of you out there will hate sing-a-long songs like: “Innocent World”, “United Alliance”, “The Queen of my World”, “My Dying Paradiseand “Far Away”… but not me… I find myself humming the songs in the middle of the streets… damn I can’t get their super catchy choruses out of my head.

A few of the songs has Helloween written all over them… just take a listen to “Mr. Evil” and you know what I mean… but… so what? As long as the songs are great I don’t care how original they are. And the songs are great.

If there is anything I can complain about? Well… maybe… I could have wished for heavier guitars. Even though I really like this album, a heavier sound would make the songs more powerful… I think.

“Dimensions” comes with 12 tracks… a crystal clear production and an alright cover artwork.

To sum it all up; If you’re into “Melodic-Happy-Power-Metal-Pop” then Freedom Call and “Dimensions” definitely are the right thing for you.
