Are you into Melodic Rock with catchy hooks and catchy choruses? Well if you are, you should check this album out from FREDERIKSEN – DENANDER called “Baptism by Fire” because this album has it all.

Dennis ‘Fergie’ Frederiksen is known from his work with TOTO and TRILLION while Tommy Denander (RADIOACTIVE, RAINMAKER) is known as an excellent producer and songwriter and have played with artists like; Paul Stanley, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, Richard Marx, and Desmond Child. Damn… this guy has played on more than 1000 albums… impressive, right?

The promo I’m sitting here with contains 12 first class AOR/Melodic Rock songs and bands like Journey, Survivor and TOTO comes to mind when I listen to “Baptism by Fire”.

I prefer my music harder and more Metal but once and while a Melodic Rock album pops up that I really like and I really do like this album.

This is high-quality Rock music with catchy hooks and memorable choruses. Just what the doctor ordered for every genre fan. The songs here are slickly produced by Tommy Denander & Dennis ‘Fergie’ Frederiksen. Executive producer is Serafino Perugino.

This album is entertaining and rebuilding my trust in Melodic Rock. FREDERIKSEN – DENANDER have managed to create one of the strongest albums of this genre of the past few years in my humble opinion.

Dennis ‘Fergie’ Frederiksen handles the lead vocals while Tommy Denander is responsible for the guitars, keyboards and bass.

We even get a few special guests here on “Baptism by Fire”, namely; Michael Thompson, Steve Porcaro, Eric Z Daniel, Thomas Vikstom and Jan Johansen.

Melodic Rock fans are in for a treat here, so check it out now!
