Rating
Style: Progressive Instrumental Metal
Release date: March 23rd 2007

Yet another Italian stallion on the guitar… Francesco has released one album prior to this release but I haven’t heard that one… That’s alright with me, I guess, cos’ if it’s anywhere near this utterly confusing instrumental album, it would be a pure waste of time for me to listen to!

Francesco chose to showcase 2 sides of his abilities on this release; his up-tempo neo-classical shredding (with A LOT of progressive movements!) and his acoustic sides.

Well, he sounds like having listened to the likes of Yngwie Malmsteen, Luca Turelli, Axel Rudi Pell and Vinnie Vincent to name a few of the more obvious influences.

Like so many modern day shredders it’s all been done before. Only difference is the pace and the progressions.

Francesco likes to blaze away like there’s no tomorrow and yes, he is a very precise and talented player but he has no sense what-so-ever of good showmanship… I really need more diversity and flair for “listener-friendliness”.

These releases confuse me!! My ears scream and my stomach feels turned upside down…

An expert on his instrument but NOT an entertainer at all!

To make matters worse the production is very low-budget and the sound gets muddy after a short while….

If anyone knows how to appreciate this album please send me the recipe! -:)
