When I heard the debut EP from this new sleaze act called CRAZY LIXX I was immensely impressed with what I heard – A brand new band from the same school as CRASHDIET, WIG WAM, TOWERS OF LONDON etc. – CRAZY LIXX, on the other hand, had (and still has!) something that the rest of this new breed of sleaze lacks, and that folks, is M-E-L-O-D-Y!

I also saw them perform at Sweden Rock Festival and, although performing on the smallest possible stage, they managed to draw the attention of a crowd counting some 500 sleaze-heads – Virtually blocking the path to one of the bigger stages! -)

Fast forward a couple of months and here I am absolutely intoxicated by the full length debut from these Malmö-rockers! They’ve chosen to include their 2 fan-pleasers, “Want It” and “Heroes Are Forever”, and if that wasn’t enough to satisfy me, they’ve come up with an album full of similarly catchy sleaze tunes – Completely on par with the aforementioned crowd-favourites! In short = this is freaking fantastic all the way! From up-tempo rockers to “I-miss-you-ballads” they create a strange (but wonderful!) connection between your consciousness and your primal instincts forcing you to strip down and wreak havoc in the streets - no holds barred!

The Chris Laney-handled production gives the songs another dimension and during the 11 songs, one is taken on an audio-journey down memory lane. There are hints to sleaze/glam greats SKID ROW, DEF LEPPARD, NASTY IDOLS etc. but never ending up sounding “rip-offd”.

It should be clear to you by now that I adore this band - And you should too! Don’t worry ‘bout their weak band name – It says nothing about the music they create! This is THE band to take over the crown after the soon-to-be demise of CRASHDIET!

CRAZY LIXX are my new heroes, and HEROES ARE FOREVER!!! -)
