Danish Heavy Metal band Ureas consists of the two vocalists Heidi Johansson and Per Johansson (Fate, ex-Crystal Knight, ex-Evil and ex-Lavina), guitarist Søren Hoff (Fate), bassist Kasper Gram (ex-Evil Masquerade) and drummer Mikael Skou Jørgensen. Ureas released a 1 track maxi single back in 2003 called “Barrels of Fun” with Bjarne Holm (Mercyful Fate) on the drums.

“The Naked Truth” is an album that is hard to categorize, Ureas treat us with a great mixture of Bombastic Metal, Gothic, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal and there is even an Rammstein inspired song called “Seven Days Weekend”.

The Vocals from Heidi and Per are among the best I have heard for a while, they especially kicks ass on the hard rocking opening track “Intoxicated”, the ballad “Colour Me Blind” and on “Spiritually Possessed” a track with some great riffs and a superb refrain.

Tommy Hansen (Pretty Maids, Helloween, Beyond Twilight) shows once again his abilities as one of the top Heavy Metal producers, and has delivered a raw and powerful production.

There are three guest musicians on the album: Frederik Hansen is a guest on guitars on the tracks “My Dearest One” and “Spiritually Possessed”, Mattias “IA” Eklundh is a guest guitarist on “Colour Us Blind” and “Seven Days Weekend”, and drummer Bjarne Holm appears on the Asian bonus track “Barrels of Fun”.

“The Naked Truth” is one of those albums that just gets better and better, so check it out.

Recommended tracks: “Intoxicated”, “Colour Me Blind”, “Spiritually Possessed” and “My Dearest One”.
