True metal! This, in my view, is TRUE fucking metal! With Slayer-esque
riffing and Norse melodic death metal bombast, ‘Midvinterblot’ is a
(Thor’s) hammer of an album straight from the golden halls of Valhalla.
In
the midst of the death metal fury there’s room for catchy choruses
that immediately cling to your ear. How’s ‘We will hunt you down –
this is our world now’ for a refrain, eh? Or ‘Can’t resurrect so I
can vomit on the body of Christ’, eh, eh? If there’s the tiniest
drop of metal in your blood, you can’t help but loving this!
Unleashed’s
world is one where Vikings go hand in hand with Lord Sauron’s men and
Satanists, and with a perfect production, the mood is set. Darkness,
darkness and an extra tint of darkness.
Very
metal.
