could be more appropriate than melodic hard rockers TEN releasing
a fine retrospect after TEN years of existence?
fronted by vocalist and main songwriter Gary Hughes hasnít taken the
easy road. No they have re-recorded all 18 tracks with lots of special
guest, an orchestra and a big choir, which means they have given their
own classic songs not new life, but another life.
to make it easier on us the listeners, they have split the double CD up.
On CD 1 we are served 9 "Rockers" - it's actually 12, because
three of the songs are medleys, and on CD 2 the dish is 9 "Ballads".
So the choice is yours - are you in the mood for rock or are you in the
mood for mellow tunes...
I have been a fan for a very long time, and must admit
that the fresh breath of air given to the songs - most notable on CD 1 -
has turned out to be successful, and I am sure old fans will agree. To
new fans this is a very cool collection and a great way to get
acquainted with TEN.
