French
band Stereoxyde was formed in 1999 and released a five track demo
CD the same year, their
first full-length album was strangely enough a live album called
“Liveage” released in 2002.
“La
Création de L’Homme – V2.0” contains 11 tracks, and a
multimedia section. Stereoxyde is a fine example of classic heavy
metal made in
France
, as with the majority of the French bands they sing in their
native language, and I am pretty sure that they have a bunch of
Iron Maiden albums and maybe even a copy of Queenrÿche’s
“Operation Mindcrime”.
Being
absolutely honest with you, I haven’t heard a band from France with so much potential since Malediction.
The
opener “Antisectique” is very good, and the rest of the ten
tracks are stone solid too. The album mixes fast songs with slower
/ crunchier ones, and all songs are very melodic.
“La
Création de L’Homme – V2.0” is a strongly recommended CD.
Recommended
tracks: “Antisectique”, “La Haine” & “Naif”.
