Screaming Shadows from Italy was founded in 1997/1998 and they released a demo called “Where I am Nothing” under the name of Eruption in 1999, after that they have released an EP called “Screaming Shadows” in 2001, an live album called “Screaming Shadows Live” in 2003 and later that same year their first full length “Behind the Mask”, all of them released independently.

Then late 2005 they signed a deal with My Graveyard Productions, the result: “In the Name Of God”.

“In the Name of God” is not your typical Italian power metal album no happy metal here. The style is something like Iron Maiden jamming with Hittman and Fates Warning. Especially “Damned Soul”, “In the Name of God” and “Broken Promises (pt 1)” are all top notch prog / power metal sometimes they even sound like the legendary Damn The Machine, mostly because singer Luigi Usai sound like Damn The Machine singer Dave Clemmons.

Well the sound on “In the Name of God” could have been a lot better, but I was surprised by the quality of the music, and I encourage you to support this effort.
