Pioneers Saxon is back with “The Eagle has Landed, Pt. III”. It’s
been 24 years since the first part was released and 10 years since Pt. II.
Pt.
III was recorded in Germany, Sweden, France and England on Saxon’s 2004/2005
tours. The
2004 material has Jörg Michael playing the drums, and on the 2005 mterial
the drums are handled by Nigel Glockler.
CD 1
contain tracks from “Saxon”, “Wheels of Steel”, “Strong Arm of
the Law”, “Denim
and Leather”, “Power & the Glory” and “Crusader” this
means one thing, we are treated with fifteen classics such as “Never
Surrender”, “Wheels
of Steel” and “Crusader” hell yeah.
CD 2
contains of “Broken Heroes” from “Innocence is no Excuse”, the
title track
from the “Solid Ball of Rock” album, four tracks from “Killing
Ground”, one track from “Metalhead” and nine tracks from their
latest album “Lionheart”. CD
2 is also great but I think that nine tracks from “Lionheart” is too
many, a few
more tracks from the “Metalhead” album would have been great.
But
after that is said I must say that this double album is just as great as
Pt. II. the HEAVY METAL THUNDER is back check it out.
