I was not in the best mood first time I threw this spanking new album by Reckless Tide in my CD-player, and I must admit that I was only familiar with a few tracks from this German band, (from their debut album, “Repent or Seal Your Fate), so I only new them by name…. mostly.

But… WOW… this is a full flash of power!!! Damn, I was totally knocked out of my socks already when the guitar riffs began to blast out of my speakers. My mood changed completely… now I was really interested to get to know this album and this band better. We get 11 songs here on “Helleraser” that don't take any prisoners… quite technical Thrash Metal of the highest class in my humble opinion.

With two singers; Andrew Troth (Shout Vocals) and Kjell Hallgreen (Melodic Vocals, Growls and Screams) Reckless Tide kicked my ass very seriously and I was completely stunned. – Damn…this is great stuff!

Also the guitarists here are excellent… and catapults great riffs into the world in an unbelievable orgy… and take a listen to the rhythm section… awesome!

Track after track took me by surprise and the more I listen to it… the more I like it. They just never lose their energy and give everything until the end. This album is filled with “catchy” Thrash Metal, but don’t worry…there is no wimping out here at any point.

I have been listening to this album over and over for more than a week now and each track just gets catchier and better to the point where you can't decide which one your favourite is. You just want to listen to it again and again. Even the production is awesome… crystal clear and it suits the music fantastic. Heck… I even love the cover artwork.

So, if you’re fan of Reckless Tide or Thrash Metal in general… do yourself a favour and check this German band out when this piece of splendid Metal hit the stores, October the 13th 2006!
