My
first impression with this album turned out to be a lasting impression!
This is a solid piece of metal - nothing more, nothing less!
These
6 Germans have created a fine collection of good progressive metal songs,
they are all clearly talented musicians and the sound on the album is
good. The songs are complex, have good melody lines and fine leads,
but even after numerous listenings not a single songs or song structure
stands out...
Mattias Norén has once more delivered an outstanding
cover artwork, and like the band name suggest they deal with Egyptian
mythology in most of the lyrics. And this is still a fine debut album,
which shows a young band struggling a bit to find their own ground.
There is plenty of fine moments on the album for progressive metal fans
to dwell over, and I suggest you do give them a chance when the album is
out...
