This
is a good rock album. No more, no less. On
this their second CD, Swiss quartet Pure Inc. manage to create something
that sounds like a hybrid between Audioslave and Pretty Maids. In places,
this seemingly odd mixture works out alright, but at length you just
wish you were listening to the originals instead. The
tracks “Saviour” and “I’ll Let You Know” are potential radio
hits, although one could fear that the former is too close to Audioslave
and the latter to the Scorpions. You’d never know. It’s easy to like
these songs, anyway. One more album with a production like this one plus a lot of touring and we might have Europe’s answer to Nickelback here. |
