I was very impressed with Prototype's first official album release in Europe, which was released by Massacre Records in the early days of 2004.

Now they are back with their second album, and they actually pick up where they left us with "Trinity". They play a groovy mixture of melodic and aggressive power metal US style, with pinches of thrash and progressive metal thrown into the mix as well. I do however miss some musically progression from the band, some new ideas or sounds. That is however just a small complaint because this album does kick almost as much ass as their first album.

Vince's vocal style might not be everybody's "cup of tea", but I think he fits the music perfectly, and their music should appeal to a wide metal audience, but fans of old school thrash metal should pay extra attention to this album.

The sound on this album is "straight in your face", Neil Kernon has mixed the album and Travis Smith has created another weird piece artwork, so the bricks are in place here. Do check this interesting album out, if you get the chance...
