Wrong address? Not, if you are looking for a breather with some good old school AOR. Prayer from Finland delivers a heavily American influenced album - think 1985-era big area rock bands like Journey and Boston . But they do also have a nice Scandinavian AOR edge to their music.

This is pomp AOR - keyboard driven rock songs, with a lot of melody, big choruses and melodic leads. This is the kind of music you listen to crushing down Sunset Boulevard in your convertible. After a hard day at work, when you really just need to relax and kick back, then I am sure this album will be just right.

Some will call this music sissy pop rock, but I do believe Prayer has a lot more to offer, this is technically very sound, some the songs are very complex without ever being progressive.

So if you are looking for a cool collection of melodic AOR songs, then look no further, these 6 Finnish guys are proof that Finland is more than Stratovarius, Nightwish, vodka and saunas! Do check their very interesting debut album out...
