“A Landscape made from Dreams” is the debut album from Swedish maestro Daniel Palmqvist. 12 tracks of Instrumental guitar oriented Rock music. His approach to the instrument (guitar) is inspired by the likes of Eric Johnson, Yngwie Malmsteen, Allan Holdsworth, Pat Metheny, Steve Lukather, Dan Huff and Kee Marcello.

One thing is for sure; Daniel Palmqvist is a very gifted guitarist but I find this album quite boring. The music is very laid back and I miss some more power and some more Rock. Even after numerous listens I fail to remember any of the 12 tracks, except for one, namely “If Things were Different”.

This album is suitable for background music and nothing more. To me this is just another Instrumental Rock album.

Please take the time to listen to this guy maybe you are in for a nice surprise? I rather forget that I ever came across of this album.
